UCILIA® expands its global network by opening a new office in Manaus, Brazil!
We have chosen Brazil because of the high speed in which the country and the broadband internet are developing.
Manaus is a city in Brazil, the capital of the state of Amazonas. It lies on the placid banks of the River Negro in the heart of the Amazon rain forest.
Total area: 14,337 square kilometers.
Location: 1,936 kilometers (1,203 mi) from the federal capital, Brasília.
Population: 1.71 million people (in 2008)
Although the main industry of Manaus through much of the 20th century was rubber, its importance has declined. Timber and Brazil-nuts make up important trades, as do petroleum refining, soap manufacturing and chemical industries. Over the last decades, a system of federal investments and tax incentives have turned the surrounding region into a major industrial center.
